Caprosyn synthetic absorbable sutures have an absorption profile of 56 days. They feature a durable polymer material and monofilament construction, allowing smooth passage through tissue, improved approximation, and reduced risk of infection. Patients may experience less discomfort during healing and fewer wound complications, leading to a quicker recovery. These sutures are violet-colored for increased visibility and are also available undyed. Caprosyn sutures are indicated for use in general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation.
